SMTP Zen is an email platform for product email first. You can host your domain, create mailboxes, set up forwarding and catch-all rules, and send mail through SMTP relay—all in one dashboard. We also help you set the right DNS records, require secure delivery (TLS), and give you real-time logs so you can see what happened to every message.
No. SMTP Zen is not for cold email or mass marketing blasts. Opt-in newsletters are OK if people clearly signed up and can unsubscribe. If you’re emailing scraped, rented, or purchased lists, we will block it.
SMTP Zen is for developers sending app emails, small teams managing company inboxes, freelancers managing client domains, and domain investors who want inboxes + SMTP in one place. If your main goal is large-scale promotional marketing, you’ll be happier with a dedicated marketing provider.
Most accounts can send about 400 outbound emails per mailbox per hour (aliases included). If you need more and your email is consent-based, we may increase limits after you show opt-in proof and healthy engagement. If sending looks risky or spam-like, we slow it down or stop it to protect deliverability for everyone.
Both. You get real mailboxes (webmail + IMAP) with storage and backups, plus SMTP relay, forwarding, and catch-all routing. That keeps automated emails and human replies in one system.
We actively monitor abuse: spam complaints, spoofing, and DNS misalignment. If your sending hurts deliverability or violates our rules, we can pause sending or close the account without a refund. In serious cases, we remove related data to protect the platform and other customers.

We take IP reputation and deliverability very seriously! We protect deliverability by enforcing secure sending (TLS), guiding you through SPF/DKIM/DMARC setup, monitoring abuse and complaint rates, and providing live logs so you can quickly fix issues.
